Spicy Popcorn Chicken

 

Prepare :

(1-2 servings)

Chicken thighs                 1 pc 
(cut into bite-sized pieces)
 Soy sauce                        2sp
 Rice wine                         1tsp
 Sugar                               1tsp
 Cornstarch                       1sp
 Pepper                             1/3 tsp
 Oil                                    1sp
   ~~~~~~~~~~
All-purpose flour               2sp
(After marinate use)
                      


For Stir-Fry :


yumyumia hot chili oil        1tsp
Dried Chilies                        80g 
Garlic (minced)                    3-4 cloves 
Shallots(minced)                 15g

  


Steps: 

1) In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with marinate ingredients. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. After that, add oil.

2)Prepare the coating in a shallow dish and spread out the flour. Dredge each piece of marinated chicken in the flour, making sure it’s well-coated. 

3)Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated chicken pieces in batches. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.(Double fry the chicken) Remove and drain on paper towels. 
or Air fryer : 375°C for 8~10 minutes 

4)In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the garlic minced  , shallots minced Stir-fry for a minute. Add hot chili oil & dried chili stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.

5) Combine the fried chicken pieces to the pan. Toss everything together until well . 

 

Tips:
💥Adjust the hot chili oil according to your spicy preference.
💥 For a crisper texture, double fry the chicken.
